Greddy has finally released their follow up to their famous full auto turbo timer. The Turbo Timer II offers the same great features as the original version with a few improvements, such as 'attack' mode which ties into your speedometer and calculate 0-60 times as well as 1/4 mile ETs, digital speedometer, digital volt meter and digital clock display options. The unit also includes two separate programmable turbo timer functions as well as two pre-programmed auto modes. The Greddy Turbo Timer II features the new flat face style display unit with an easily hide-able brain box for more versatile mounting options in any car.

This is the new Greddy FATT II Turbo Timer.  Turbo timers are designed to help extend the life of your engine and specifically your turbo(s).  Turbos run extremely hot and rely on engine oil and coolant circulation for cooling.  When you turn your engine off, everything obviosuly stops.  And your turbos simply stop at whatever temperature they were at while running. This is bad because it can esentially "bake" the oil inside, resulting in crud buildup and eventually blocking oil flow through the turbo.  And with no oil circulation, the turbo will very quickly fail and need replacing. 

The turbo timer allows you to "turn the car off" and tke the key out, but keeps the engine running at idle for a specified time period to allow the turbos to continue getting oil and coolant circulation to draw the heat out of them and bring them to a much lower temperature before turning off the engine.
